Guard Card
Start your security career!
The Powers to Arrest (PTA) & Appropriate Use of Force course is required prior to becoming a licensed security guard.
Must be 18 years of age and pass a background check.
Guard w/ Firearm
Increase your skills, increase your opportunities.
This course is for new and current security guards that want to carry an exposed firearm while on duty.
Must meet Guard Card requirements and be eligible to posses a firearm.
Additional Training
Newly licensed guards are required to obtain an additional 32-hours of training in the first thirty-day and six-months after being licensed.
- 16 hours of “Mandatory” training.
- 16 hours of “Elective” training.
Firearms ReQualificaiton
Keep your exposed firearms permit current.
Armed Guards must complete an additional 2-hours classroom refresher & a 50-round qualification per caliber twice a year.
